[00:00:12] Speaker A: They're on the second floor.
Hey, everybody, thanks for joining us again here on Second Floor Sessions. This episode is going to be a little different than what we usually do, but the first thing that me and Matt both should say is thank you.
[00:00:39] Speaker B: Thank you guys so much.
[00:00:41] Speaker A: Thank you, thank you, thank you. You have no idea what it means that you found it important enough to click on our video, share it, comment, and become followers of our Facebook after those reels we put out.
We put out two reels.
[00:01:00] Speaker B: Over 7.5 million views. It went viral, and it was such a blessing that you guys would even click on it.
[00:01:08] Speaker A: Unbelievable. Over a hundred thousand comments.
Obviously, we're not going to respond to all those.
[00:01:15] Speaker B: Can't. But we will work on it.
[00:01:16] Speaker A: Yeah. And invite people to please become more followers. But obviously, when you start a podcast, you know, you want something like that to happen, or else you might as well just turn the cameras off. Nobody's listening.
[00:01:32] Speaker B: We definitely was not expecting at all.
[00:01:34] Speaker A: Certainly not if anything wants to happen, you know, you. You're lucky enough to blow up this fast, but it. You know, those videos just exploded.
[00:01:43] Speaker B: So 10,000 followers. 10,000 followers. Sure enough, 10,000 people clicked and want to follow us. That means a lot.
[00:01:53] Speaker A: Unbelievable. So we're very humbled by that. Thank you all so much.
So that's the most important thing we need to start by saying in this video.
[00:02:03] Speaker B: Thank you. Absolutely.
[00:02:04] Speaker A: And we're going to continue to try to give you stuff you like.
So one thing we wanted to do in this video was.
Or this episode was kind of take the time. We realized once we got the podcast episode, the clip that we put out, that there were people out there that might not even have a clue what it is or anything. Obviously, we have put some stuff up.
We do say, hey, check out our YouTube and everything. But. But we are podcasters. We have a podcast that we started working on creating it over a year ago now.
First episode came out on January 1st. We're at episode number 29, second season into that.
[00:02:54] Speaker B: We just really wanted to. To kind of dive in a little bit tonight and let you guys know what we've already done and what we.
What our first season was versus what our second season is currently.
Yeah, and yes, absolutely, there's a difference. And.
And to see if, you know, because a lot of you guys had questions. What. What. What is this? What is that? Well, here we are, we're telling you, and we just want to Inform you guys from this point forward of where this is going and what's happening.
[00:03:33] Speaker A: So. Yeah. So first of all, couple of East Tennessee boys that decided just to start a podcast because we didn't see each other anymore, talk to each other as much as we'd like to. And every time we did, it felt like a podcast.
[00:03:46] Speaker B: Yep. Absolutely.
[00:03:47] Speaker A: So we decided to hit record and go through a big, huge learning curve on this whole thing.
And it's been a journey, one that we've enjoyed.
And. And last weekend, I mean, you guys literally locked my phone up.
[00:04:03] Speaker B: Locked it down.
[00:04:04] Speaker A: It would not work.
[00:04:05] Speaker B: He called me.
[00:04:06] Speaker A: I didn't.
[00:04:06] Speaker B: I didn't. I didn't expect this, but he called me, told me. I was like, okay, we. On whatever it was, literally his phone was locked down, and somehow I was. I was trying to get a hold of him and just. It couldn't happen.
[00:04:17] Speaker A: He's texting my wife because my phone will do nothing. I had so many notifications on my phone going off. So again, our minds are blown. So, so much gratitude.
[00:04:30] Speaker B: This is set. It set us on another level and another.
[00:04:35] Speaker A: More ability. Everything.
[00:04:36] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:04:37] Speaker A: Ever.
[00:04:37] Speaker B: All the way around and just stoking a fire for us.
[00:04:41] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:04:41] Speaker B: Just. We're just going to continue to feed
[00:04:43] Speaker A: this thing, so I'd like to tell a little bit about this. We'll kind of keep this episode sort
[00:04:51] Speaker B: of short, I guess. Short and sweet. Short and sweet. But
[00:04:56] Speaker A: when we started this, I thought it'd be a good idea to do it. Matt finally comes on board with it. We. And we decided to jump into it and commit to it.
One thing that I really wanted to do on this podcast is I wanted to ultimately get to where we are today on our episodes, which is having guests.
But we started with just me and him talking about different topics and things we wanted to cover on the episode. Episode.
And eventually we were able. Once we got the hang of everything and figured out the editing and putting it out in the publishing and everything, we were able to move to guests, which is ultimately what I wanted.
[00:05:43] Speaker B: 20 episodes in. 20 episodes in. We started inviting guests. Yeah. To the podcast. So. Yeah.
[00:05:51] Speaker A: And.
And not. Not saying there wouldn't be a celebrity setting here. And we're talking to him ever. Or anything like that. Or I wouldn't do that. But I wanted to create some content out there where you were hearing from people.
Like our last guest, Bobby Amber, on there he was that you guys like so much. Yeah. Yeah. Apparently.
[00:06:16] Speaker B: Thank you, Bob.
[00:06:17] Speaker A: Yeah, thank you, Bobby.
He was just our teacher in high school. I mean, he taught our. He taught our ag classes that we took.
[00:06:26] Speaker B: We want to be relatable with you guys, because all these podcasts that you guys listen to, you guys, you can't really relate to some of those people.
[00:06:35] Speaker A: Yeah. And some you can, but.
[00:06:37] Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely. And where they've come from, but where they're at today, you can't relate to those. Will. We. We work six days a week. I do. He works five, six days a week himself.
So we're. We're. We're grinding on every corner that we can grind on.
[00:06:52] Speaker A: We have kids. We have families to support and work
[00:06:55] Speaker B: with, so we are just like you.
[00:06:57] Speaker A: Yeah. And. And the people that we get, we want them to be like us and be relatable. So that was one thing that I really wanted to. To do.
And there's a lot of jobs out there that. That people may not know what they are.
So when we get people on here and we, you know, we find out who they are today and how it led them to that. To that place that they're at and their careers and everything else, it's informative, too, or it's, you know, knowledge, or, you know, maybe your curiosity's up and you want to know what that's like. But we find out a lot about people that we didn't know things about
[00:07:32] Speaker B: or people we've known our whole life that we didn't really. We never dove into.
To their. Their life. You know what I mean? We just know them on the surface. We don't know them, you know, on a personal level, you know.
[00:07:45] Speaker A: Yeah, some.
You know, I'm. I started listening because I seen some clips of the. Theo Von's new podcast, which is. Has Trace Atkins on there.
[00:07:55] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:07:56] Speaker A: Like, I can relate to either one of those, you know, So, I mean,
[00:08:00] Speaker B: that's what we're talking about.
[00:08:01] Speaker A: And it's still cool. Fun to watch.
[00:08:02] Speaker B: I love Theo, but they're two celebrities. It is. They're two celebrities. Yeah.
[00:08:06] Speaker A: So this is more of your.
This is more of an even playing field around here.
[00:08:11] Speaker B: You're more just like you, so. Yeah, absolutely.
[00:08:14] Speaker A: And y' all really like the last guy for sure. So I hope to do a lot more like that to find interesting people that have got some interesting stories.
[00:08:22] Speaker B: We have some really good folks coming up.

Another thing is, whenever we were considering doing this, I wanted to make sure to keep it somewhat clean.
[00:08:37] Speaker B: Absolutely. Absolutely.
[00:08:38] Speaker A: Clean enough where we can ride down
[00:08:40] Speaker B: the road and listen to our own podcast with our kids in the Car. Absolutely.
[00:08:45] Speaker A: There's a lot of them that I can't do that with, that I like and listen to.
So we wanted to get one out there to where that was possible, if that was something you had desired to do. So that was a big thing on when I. When I decided to do it. That was a big.
[00:09:02] Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely.
[00:09:03] Speaker A: Decision that I made on there too. So basically that's kind of it for this episode. We just wanted to. To say that and explain anything.
You know, whether we're having plumbers on here or it's some. An automotive technician or a principal or, you know, some guys that are.
[00:09:25] Speaker B: Yeah. Salesman, whatever forklift operators.
[00:09:28] Speaker A: Anybody there is, you know, their career paths. Doesn't matter. You know, if it's a. If it's a viewer that's interested, you
[00:09:35] Speaker B: guys are listening and you're local to the area or want to come see
[00:09:39] Speaker A: us, want to come out, you can.
[00:09:41] Speaker B: You can contact us. Absolutely. And let us know.
But I. I think, you know, basically to do a recap of where we.
Where we were at and what we.
What we did. You know, we first started out as just talking about who we were and then things around us. Topics. Yeah, Topics around us, things that we did.
And then, you know, it may have went into something a little on the.
You know, our entertainment. What we like to do this and that and a lot more there. But you can go watch those. And, you know, like I said, we brought. We brought friends, we brought family, we
[00:10:25] Speaker A: brought
[00:10:27] Speaker B: our school teacher. I mean, it's just one of those things. We wanted to. We wanted to be different, but we wanted to be, like he said, relatable. Yeah. And there's just not that out there that I know of now. So that's. That's a biggie.
[00:10:44] Speaker A: Yeah. And there may be. And we just don't listen to it. There's a lot of. A lot of freaking podcasts. Right.
[00:10:48] Speaker B: They are.
[00:10:48] Speaker A: I'm sure there's something out there. It's very similar or something. But that was. That was our goal when we did it.
[00:10:53] Speaker B: Y.
[00:10:53] Speaker A: Was that.
[00:10:55] Speaker B: Yeah, I.
I just think if, you know, if those 10,000 followers and if you've got. Guys have got something that you might want to even hear us talk about or something that are. Or. Or not debate, but. Or, you know, discuss. Discuss.

[00:11:17] Speaker A: So I guess one other thing where you can find us. So we've got Tick Tock channel. We've got a Facebook.
That's obviously where a Lot of, you
[00:11:29] Speaker B: know, ours, where most everybody come from, our viewers had.
[00:11:32] Speaker A: Came from there.
Tick Tock's done well too, though. It's got a lot of views that same exact video does.
But we have a YouTube channel. You can find us on there and actually watch every single podcast that we do. And of course, on every podcast, you know, that we publish, it's out on every podcast platform, every streaming platform out there on.
[00:11:55] Speaker B: On the. On a podcast, Apple, Android, any of your devices, iHeartRadio. I mean, all kinds of stuff. It's out there.
[00:12:02] Speaker A: Yeah, it's. It's all there to view, to listen to that way on your normal. Wherever you get your podcast.
[00:12:07] Speaker B: Spotify, it's all that.
[00:12:09] Speaker A: Yeah. So I hope that this video helps a little bit.
Again, unplanned. Totally 100 unplanned. Last weekend that anything would happen, we went.
[00:12:24] Speaker B: What?
[00:12:25] Speaker A: That weekend that we just experienced is normally a weekend off from this sort of.
[00:12:29] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:12:30] Speaker A: And we literally went like 30, 48, about 48 hours straight.
It was real close to just constantly
[00:12:38] Speaker B: doing something, calling each other the. All weekend long, trying to figure stuff out, hash things out. He's trying to get me in so I can do some administrated stuff.
But was definitely something that I had never experienced or never thought I would experience.
So that was super special.
Super, super special to experience something like that. For sure.
[00:13:01] Speaker A: We feel very blessed for everyone. So again, episode is mostly to explain who we are, what you guys saw, what it is behind what we're doing, and to show you the gratitude that we have for what happened.
[00:13:18] Speaker B: But wait, but wait.
What we've got coming in a couple weeks, we're going on the road for the first time ever, for sure. We are going on the road and you're not going to want to miss it, I promise.
[00:13:31] Speaker A: Yep.
